A new stage of life
Not only for your child a lot is about to change – you as parents are certainly concerned about many things, too.
Maybe this is the first time you are going to be separated from your child for a longer period of time. Possibly you still feel a little uncomfortable at the thought of entrusting the care for your child to someone you do not know yet. You are realising that from now on other people will wield influence on your child. Some parents are vexed by the thought that they cannot devote themselves full-time to their child any more.
Then again, you may be looking forward to taking up your work again in the sure knowledge that your child is safe and well cared for.
Allow yourself to cherish the thought of being able to care a little bit about yourself again after parental leave.
Steps of settling in
For your child, you as the mother or father are the pivotal caregivers. Only you, by being present alongside your child during the first days, can convey to your child the security and confidence it needs in order to adjust to its new environment here at Nannys Place.
Every child reacts to unfamiliar situations in a different way. Some children are quicker than others in getting accustomed to the new rooms, new fellow children, new adults and being comfortable with them. This is why you should realise that it depends on your child how long you should accompany it to the crèche to settle in. If possible, the child should be accompanied by the same person throughout the phase of settling in.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child here at Nannys Place!
